The guide and guard device is an indispensable and important part of the section steel rolling mill. In order to make the rolled piece accurately enter and exit the pass according to the specified position, direction and required state, avoid the rolled piece from entanglement, and the rolled piece is scraped and squeezed. For the safety of workers and equipment, guide and guard devices must be installed before and after the roll. The guard plate is installed on the exit side to prevent roll winding accidents. The lower guard plate is installed on the guide plate beam. The upper guard board is difficult to fix, and it is not as reliable as the lower guard board. Its top may leave the roll due to the vibration of the frame, or it may cause an accident due to the rolling piece hitting the tip of the guard board. The use of upward pressure in the hole design is an effective measure to avoid this trouble.
The steel plate rolling mill does not need a guide plate, and its guard plate is also called a guard plate. The billet rolling mill can adopt integrally cast guide plates. Special section steel rolling mills can also use integral guide plates suitable for several pass patterns.
